a. Is for Auber Romero
Hola! My name is Auber, I'm a Mexican creative director based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I grew up in Mexico City, a place full of creativity and from a very early age, I really wanted to be a part of the creative environment, so I took up painting classes, tried every musical instrument from the Violin to turntables to the rainstick, joined my school's theater club and surprisingly landed the role of the king in "Romeo and Juliet” a major achievement in my book if you ask me.
I sucked at everything, at least, I thought I did.
Luckily a few years later, I found a way of exploring all the creativity within me as a creative writer.
I've created relevant and award-winning work for different markets and well-known brands since then. Netflix, Coca-Cola, Sprite, Telemundo, Lays, Doritos, Save the Children, Ballentine's, and InBev to name a few.
I was named copywriter of the year 2019 by the Argentinian Creative Circle and represented Mexico as a young creative at the Cannes Lions Festival. I’ve also won Clios, Lions, the New York festival, the London Festival, D&AD, Ojo de Iberoamérica, and others that I can't think of right now.
Hey! Not bad for a creative failure!
b. Is for Breno Costa
I'm a Brazilian creative director living in Argentina.
Picture this: my childhood in the Amazon rainforest, surrounded by wildlife, rivers, boats, and bugs big enough to audition for horror movies. I'm talking 12 cm flying, swimming cockroaches.
My 62 cm-wide head has always been like a story radar, attracting tales about animals, plants, and people. As a kid, I was surrounded by surprising (and often bizarre) stories that led me to start drawing and writing my own.
Fast forward to today, and not much has changed. I'm still using my colossal noggin to craft stories that tug at hearts and minds.
In the wild world of advertising, I've worked with big names like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Telemundo, Doritos, Netflix, Lays, Ballantine’s, and more. Some of the campaigns I’ve worked on? They’ve picked up over seventy awards at various festivals.
Oh, and I’ve published a graphic novel too.
My life might be a wild blend of reality and fiction, but one thing’s for sure: that giant cockroach and my colossal head are no figments of the imagination.
