Client: Netflix + Flamin’Hot
In Mexico, El Santo is more than just a wrestler. He is a legend, a national hero, a movie star, and a cultural icon.
For three decades, he fought against the most frightening monsters in over 30 movies from vampires to mommies, to werewolves.
But for the launching of Stranger Things season 4, Flamin’Hot, the Pepsico spicy snacks, was about to reveal his most incredible challenge faced against the bloodiest monster of all: The Demogorgon.
Demogorgon vs El Santo.
During the 80s, El Santo went on an exhibition tour, displaying his talent and when he was getting ready to fight in a small arena in Hawkins, Indiana the event took an unexpected turn.
The footage of that particular night was classified as top secret and had never been seen by the public eye until today.
We aired the fight on national tv during prime time, and as a real fight, we had the top sports anchors recounting the event.
Every El Santo movie had an amazing promotional poster, we were inspired by them and launched 5 different collectible posters showing Demogorgon vs. El Santo.

The moment the posters were released to the public, people ripped them off the walls, not leaving a single one left.
Even there were pirate replicas of the posters selling on the streets of Mexico City.
People took the camping as their own and started to generate content by themselves.
